Day 1 Madurai – Arr
Greet and meet on arrival at Trichy airport – Later drive to Hotel check in hotel refresh, visit Meenakshi Temple dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering gopurams, rising high above the surrounding country side. Later, visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace – a gracious building in the Indo-Saracenic style, famous for the stucco work on its domes and arches, Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2- Madurai – Tanjore ( 180 kms – 3 Hr Drive)
After breakfast check out hotel and later proceed to the Thanjavur, arrival at Thanjavur check in refresh and later proceed to the sightseeing of Tanjore including Brihadisvara Temple, Brihadeeswarar temple, which is dedicated to Shiva, was built by Raja Raja Chola I. The construction was completed in 1010 which it means that the temple is more than 1000 years old and it is one of the best example of the Chola architecture, The Thanjavur Maratha Palace Complex, known locally as Aranmanai, is the official residence of the Bhonsle family which ruled over the Tanjore region from 1674 to 1855, Its bronzes and handicrafts make Thanjavur one of the highlights of a visit of the South. It is also famous for its silk, one of the best of India – Overnight at Thanjavur.
Day 3 - Thanjavur-Kumbakonam ( 40 Kms- 1 Hr drive)
After breakfast check out hotel and later proceed to Kumbakonam, Arrival and visit Adi Kumbeswara temple, Big, historic Hindu Shiva temple complex with ornate carvings & many shrines, plus festivals. Airavateswara temple Famous 12th-century Hindu temple featuring Dravidian architecture, ornate carvings & inscriptions. Sarangapani temple – Elaborate Hindu temple complex dedicated to Vishnu with ornate, colorful carvings & festivals.Uppiliappan temple- Uppiliappan Temple, also known as Thiruvinnagar of Venkatachalapathy Temple is a temple dedicated to Hindu god Vishnu, located near Thirunageswaram and later return to Hotel and Overnight at Kumbakonam.
Day 4 Kumbakonam
After breakfast proceed to the full day sightseeing including Swaminathaswamy temple, Swamimalai, This Dravidian-style Hindu temple was built around the 2nd century BCE & features 3 gateway towers. Then drive to visit of vaitheswaran koil the “God of healing” and it is believed that prayers to Vaitheeswaran can cure diseases. Vaitheeswaran is a Tamil derivative from vaidya (Doctor) and Ishvara (God/Master) and later return to hotel and overnight at Hotel.
Optional activities at Vaitheswaran Temple
- Vaitheeswaran Koil is considered to be the birthplace of Nadi astrology.
- Apparently, there’s a palm leaf that corresponds to everyone. If you find your leaf, you’ll get to know your future.
Day 5 Kumbakonam – Trichy 100 Kms – 3 Hrs drive
After breakfast check out hotel and later we transfer you to the Trichy airport – end of the services.
